Pay Per Click Advertising - The fastest way to drive TARGETED traffic to your website

Pay per click marketing is still one of the fastest ways to get people to visit your website if you have a reasonable budget. This is still the most effective form of advertising even though there are many other proven methods to generate traffic. If you are one of the many that have heard about pay per click but don't really understand it then this article might be ale to help.

With very little effort, textual adverts are placed (sometimes with other companies) on other websites that get regular traffic. When a visitor does click through to your site, they must stay for more than ten seconds for the previous (hosting) site to be paid, albeit a very small amount. The sites that provide you with hosting when it comes to this sort of advertisement are usually big with a large amount of traffic and will have some relationship to the product or services that you are trying to put across. e. when someone actually visits your site cannot be underestimated.

With other types of advertising you pay in advance but there is no assurance that anyone will bother taking any notice of it but it has still cost anyway. In the past there were many complaints about bills being run up by competitors clicking on an advert link but that is not the case. Because the marketing with pay per click is targeted there is less money lost on advertising in the wrong areas. People who see your ad are already interested in the product or service you are promoting.

One of the largest pay per click advertising opportunities out there is Google's Adwords. The process is easy to understand; all you need to do is provide Google with the phrase or word that you want people to use to see your advert. Depending on how much you have paid your advert will either be at the top of the search result page or in the right hand column.

For many advertisers it can just be this simple feat that makes pay per click customers use Google. Many companies use this technique to gauge how good their advertising copy will be before they use it in more expensive areas. Almost all top companies will use pay per click as part of their marketing structure because it is perceived as being the most effective.
